Dining Room and Menu
Meals at Gimbebé are outstanding. We have our own seasonal market kitchen. The daily meals are made with fresh seasonal ingredients that are cooked just before being served. Some ingredients come from our own organic kitchen garden that the children from P3, P4, and P5 tend.
Gimbebé’s menus cater to the needs of our children from 0 to 6 years old and for each child, we add those foods that their parents and pediatricians recommend, ensuring the dietary needs from infants who are being bottle fed to those that eat solid foods. We also prepare special diets that are adapted for the individual needs of the child, such as for allergies or for food intolerances.
In the dining room we teach the children how to behave at a table while partaking in the meal. In level 1, the teachers are in charge of serving and helping the children eat, encouraging maximum autonomy. Second level teachers eat with the students and while doing so, model appropriate behavior, conduct, and table manners.
Gimbebé’s kitchen is licensed by the Department of Health and Safety (Departament de Sanitat i Seguretat Social con RSIPAC Nº 50.03198/CAT), certifying the dining services and professional staff assigned to the Collective Dining Room of Gimbebé.
